NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION.
The Account Manager's role is to, along with the client and the creative team, develop strategic design solutions for our clients' brands. The AM acts as a liaison between the agency and the client to the point that it becomes extremely familiar with all the aspects of the client’s business.
The role’s goal is to build a partnership where agency and client work hand in hand, and not solely as an executor. The account manager position requires its team members to be flexible, responsive and take a number of roles and different times depending on the project’s scope and needs.
The AM ensures that overall client expectations are communicated to the agency’s team; financial management responsibilities are also an essential part of the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Prepare thorough and accurate design briefs, with a clear articulation of the client’s challenge.
- Manage client expectations, communicate all project related issues or costs to the client in an efficient and effective manner.
- Lead briefing meetings with Creative Director and team to come up with strategic creative routes to be further developed.
- Oversee the development of work for client.
- Directly accountable for quality control of all output content. Ensure work is: on strategy, on time, meets and exceeds client’s expectations, and at the highest level of quality.
- Cooperate and negotiate with other client consultants (client’s agencies, external consultants).
- Review and organize client’s feedback and define course of action.
- Lead the debriefing session using the most accurate and up to date brand information on challenge and expectations.
- Pitch fresh and innovative ideas to clients.
- Make sure each project has an existing Purchase Order number, monitor client’s agreement of project completion and request invoices from the administrative department, to together maintain a positive cash flow.
- Generate status notifications and populate reports (such as status reports, travel expenses, etc.) that guarantees process transparency and productivity.
- Use knowledge and skills to push clients, the team and the agency in the most productive direction.
- Practice pro-active leadership that encourages creative teams to perform to the best of their ability.
- Support and exhibit behaviors consistent with the company’s values and beliefs.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
-Bachelor’s or Master's Degree.
-3-5 years of experience in agency or brand management work.
-Knowledge of agency software applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, basic Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop).
-Familiarity with creative industries (graphic design, industrial design, 3D animation, video) process is beneficial.
