Inside Sales Engineer / Ingeniero de Ventas
The Inside Sales Engineer role presents an exciting opportunity to promote and sell maxon products in Mexico and the rest of Latin America (LATAM). As an Inside Sales Engineer, your responsibilities will include daily management of smaller customer accounts, as well as following up on sales leads through direct customer interactions and proactive prospecting. Your goal will be to drive overall business growth by leveraging maxon’s engineered components and systems.
Essential Functions
- Maintain existing accounts via direct customer contact with appropriate engineers and purchasing
- Answer specialized technical questions concerning the Company’s products and customer needs, including e-shop inquiries
- Provide high level engineering expertise and assistance to existing and potential maxon customers
- Seek out and develop new sales opportunities (companies and contacts) for maxon’s complete line of products, including research via on-line resources, trade shows, trade magazines and other publications
- Efficient and thorough follow-up on sales leads via utilization of the Direct Sales Leads (DSL) provided by the Marketing department
- Utilize CRM / IFS system to store information and maintain company records
- Prepare, name and store quotes based on current price policies
- Maintain quotes, intercompany requests, contacts and log in Contact Software (CRM)
- Prepare sales orders & purchase orders, review customer PO for accuracy and store in IFS
- Provide back-up for other Inside Sales Engineers/Coordinators and Sales Engineers, as needed
- Provide territory or market support in conjunction with company’s growth strategy supported by established goals and objectives
- Provide First Level Support across all product families
- Assist in logistics and support shipping department
- Participate in Marketing, local translation and promotion activities, assist Marketing team
Required Education and Experiences
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
- Skills: Strong analytical skills and excellent interpersonal communication abilities
- Experience: 1-3 years in a similar position.
- Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office functionality.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30% locally, nationally, and internationally, with overnight travel as needed.
- Visa and Passport: Must have a valid US Visa B1/B2 and passport
